Regular eye examinations are important...

There are two main purposes of an eye examination: monitoring the health of your eyes and maintaining good vision. Eye conditions do not always have obvious symptoms and the risk of eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts increases as you get older. Having regular eye examinations is vital for diagnosis and treatment. Eye examinations can also pick up other health problems such as high blood pressure and diabetes.

Free sight tests at home

If you are aged 60 or over (or belong to other eligible groups) and are unable to leave home without help, you are entitled to a free NHS eye examination at home. Our mobile optician brings the latest portable equipment to you to provide a thorough eye examination tailored to your needs in the comfort of your own home.

A range of spectacles is available with a free aftercare service

If you require spectacles we carry a range of frames for every budget and style, including some that are free for those on certain benefits. A full range of lenses is also available, including single vision, bifocal, varifocal and occupational lenses. When spectacles are made we always return to fit them personally. If adjustments are required further on down the line we will return promptly to ensure that your spectacles are fitting comfortably and giving you the best vision possible.
